In 2009 Rowena had a great year claiming an 800m bronze at the England U20 Championships 800m, before going on to the IAAF World Youth Championships in Bressanone, Italy and winning the bronze medal. In 2008 she won England Athletics U17 Open Championships 800m, English Schools Championships 800m gold, Schools International gold and in the UK School Games she finished in the bronze medal position. 2007 saw her take the Sainsbury’s English Schools Championships 800m title and in 2006 she took the bronze medal in the same championshships while claiming the silver medal at the AAA U15 Championships.
