About Login
Started coaching in 1993.after a career as a competitor of 12 yrs for Swansea Harriers. As a disabled athete I won the British 100m disabled championships on 3 occasions, 200m twice.I also was undefeated by any other Welsh disabled athlete for my entire 12 yrs in the 100m, and was a member of the provisional Paralympic Squad for the Games in 1984,1988 and 1992. Have been involved in the coaching of some athletes of a high standard during my coaching career, eg.Steve Ingram (7.91m Long Jumper & 94 Commonwealth Games Competitor), John McFaul (Single Leg Amputee 100m record holder) My ambition is to be able to coach an athlete from the junior age groups right through to senior level, and have them be very successful in a major championships. In 2010 I coached all 4 of the athletes who have set a new U13 girls best time for the 4 x 100m relay - 51.7secs, including Hannah Brier who recently set the fastest U13 girls150m all-time best. My philosophy on coaching is keep it simple, keep it fun, keep it effective.
