I would describe myself as a club runner of respectable ability since taking up running in competitive terms way back in 1991 as a 22 year old for Royal Mail Northampton cross country team when I worked there. First club were Northampton Phoenix (1993-2002), then Rugby and Northampton (merge) 2002-2005 (first claim), Plymouth Harriers (2005-2009), Instinctve Sports Plymouth (2010-2011), Tamar Trotters (2011-present) Road PBs not mentioned on here and all typically pre Power Of Ten - London Marathon 2000 (2:38). Nottingham (Robin Hood) half marathon 1999 (74:38), Peterborough (Nene Valley) 10 miles 1996 (54:38). Bedford 6 miles 1997 (32:08). Milton Keynes 10k 1997 (33:29). Corby 5 miles 1997 (26:30). All these races were when I represented Northampton Phoenix. The 3k PB (2013) was for Tamar Trotters. When I relocated South West to Plymouth in 2005 I stayed on with Rugby and Northampton as second claim but by then my best years in the sport were obviously over with the onset of increasing age and a serious bout of stop/start injury, which took a hold between 2008-2012. Thankfully I'm out of that long, dark tunnel now it seems! Updated April 2013
