Initially as a horizontal jumper and multieventer Wyn won multiple Welsh and UK age group and junior medals before a career in medicine and the lure of semi professional rugby drew him away from the sport. Following the completion of his studies Wyn turned to the seven a side rugby game where his speed made him an instance success. Buoyed by this he returned to athletics in 2010 to try his hand at sprinting and produced times of 10.80 and 10.79 in his first competitions. The 2011 indoor season saw further success with Wyn taking the Welsh senior indoor championship 60m title and making the semi-final of the UK championship 60m at his first attempt. Despite continuing to dabble with sevens, alongside medicine and sprinting, the summer season of 2011 has again proved successful with Wyn being awarded his first senior Welsh vest at the Loughborough international where he set a windy PB of 10.62. He has since gone on to consolidate this early season form with a legal best of 10.66 and has added the welsh outdoor 100m title to his indoor crown.
