Things are still improving, and i have had two more races since my last post. At the end of last week i ran my pre race sess of 3 x300 3 x 200 and 3 x 100m on thursday, and on the saturday won the dreams come true mile at Windsor. The race was a tough road mile out and back, with first half up a hill and then back into the wind! won in 4:13, after a full out effort andthanks to jimmy watkins for taking me through 600m in well under 90secs. I got a long run out on the sunday, then on monday hit 15 x 200m (30sec rec) in 28.7 av. Wednesday was the same pre race sess as last week, but less recovery and faster. A couple of chilled out days, and i was ready to run at the BMC meeting at watford. Well almost as on the day i had my mother wedding to attend (strange but true!), so we travalled up the night before i manged to get to sleep at 1:30am with all the noise i was up again at 7:30am!- great prep, then the at the meal i was eating on auto pilot which i ate the largest slice of apple pie 4 hours before the race! left at 6ish and was at watford a little over an hour before the race. With all this going i decided to chill out as normal in the pack and try and come through, 58, 1:59, 2:44 and i did come through to 6th in 3:42.4. My fastest for almost three year, which shows how badley i have ran in that time, but still progress is progress! That was not the end of the crazy weekend, a got home at 1am- asleep at 1:30am again! and then up at 8am to pick the dog out of kennals! Then it was off t o welsh champs in swansea, where i was running the 1500m again. I was expecting a straight final and in the end we had heats, i joggged at the front a super slow 3:59 to win easily. After warm down i had some crazy pain in my neck, which i put down to all the driving, had a massage but was not much better. So with all my achilles pain in teh past linked to my back, decided to sit this one out, plus the weekend was starting to catch up with me! So last night i got the best nights sleep ever and can now really think about smashing through 3:40 again in my next race, and getting back to where i should and need to be.
